About AHRD – ACADEMY OF HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT (Ganpat University Joint Program) :
Academy was founded in 1990 by National HRD Network with the active support of some of the professors of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, including Dr. T. V. Rao, Dr. Udai Pareek, and Dr. D. M. Pestonjee, and many HRD professionals and people-management oriented corporations.
Later, it got registered as a trust and society. The Academy‘s activities consist of running high-quality HRD-related academic and management development programs, International & National conferences, seminars, and conclaves of practitioners, research and publications, and collaborative diploma programs.
- AHRD, in collaboration with Ganpat University, provides doctoral degrees to their fellows.
- A combined course can be opted for by the fellow.
- This will help a candidate earn a fellow and a doctoral degree in the same timeframe.
About the Fellow program:
Fellow Program is offered by AHRD in Human Resources, Organisational Development & Management and is a unique program for working professionals aspiring to do research and acquire higher learning in HR & OD. It is also an opportunity to connect with Industry stalwarts, experts, and researchers. It depicts a structured program delivered in a hybrid model. It helps in developing HRD Professionals and enhancing HRD Professionalism.

Approach:
- Evidence-based management is an approach pioneered by AHRD. It believes all practitioners & leaders should work based on Scientific analysis.
- Data related to core competencies, past organisational performance, employee skills, and competencies could be crucial in formulating effective strategies for corporate plans, including diversification and expansion.
- If organisational experiences are systematically researched and analysed, this can facilitate organisational change processes, viz. restructuring, right-sizing, process improvement, etc. Internal research, process analysis, and audit by the HRD Department are essential for validating and evaluating the effectiveness of HRD policies, systems, and interventions.

Eligibility criteria:
- A Masters Degree or equivalent PG Diploma in any discipline or B.E. / B. Tech., with at least five years‘ experience in executive or academic positions, and demonstrated aptitude for research in terms of research papers, in-house research reports, or publications.
OR
- MBA / PGDBM preferably with specialization in HRD / HRM / OB / PM& IR, or Masters Degree in Social Work / Behavioral Sciences and demonstrated interest and aptitude in research in terms of research papers or publications.
