SUMMER RESEARCH INTERN at National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Regional Office Raipur, India | May 2018 – July 2018 | Advisor: Bimal Prasad Mishra (Assistant General Manager).
∙ Detailed Study of 14 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), to analyze the changes in farmer’s household income in Chhattisgarh after the implementation of FPOs.
∙ Conducted an interview of 120 farmers, with a focused group discussion with the CEO and board of directors (BOD) of FPOs in 7 districts of Chhattisgarh.
∙ Analyzed the impact of FPOs in agriculturist’s household income before and after implementation of these institutions and determined the reasons for FPOs’ success and failures.
∙ Suggested measures for further strengthening of FPOs.
