Dr. Satish Kumar is an Associate Professor (Finance Area), Department of Management Studies at Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur and associated with MNIT Jaipur since August 2012. He has over fifteen years of teaching and research experience at management institutes of repute in India and abroad. Dr. Kumar has obtained his doctorate from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in 2011. He has also qualified Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2007. Dr. Kumar has international teaching experience working at the Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus, Malaysia. He was the program coordinator for MBA (International) and Master of Management (MOM) at the Faculty of Business and Design, Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus. His research areas include finance and Accounting.
Dr. Kumar is visiting faculty to various Institutions like GITAM University, Vishakhapatnam, G.L. Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida, IMS Ghaziabad, and Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Gwalior for teaching courses in Finance. He has delivered over 45 invited lectures at various reputed Universities and Institutions in India in various training programs. He has conducted various MDPs and FDPs for industry professionals and faculty members. Dr. Kumar has also completed two sponsored research projects by the Indian Council of Social Sciences and Research (ICSSR), New Delhi and currently, two research projects are undergoing.
Dr. Kumar has been awarded the prestigious “Dewang Mehta Best Faculty Award” in 2016 in Mumbai for their contribution to teaching & research.
He was also awarded the “Young Researcher Award” by South Asia Education Award in 2017 in Hyderabad and was also awarded the “Outstanding Young Management Researcher Award” in 2018 by AIMS-International, USA.
Amity Research Award 2019 for Best Young Faculty in Finance. His research work has appeared in various refereed international journals with publication houses like Science Direct, Emerald, Wiley, Taylor and Francis, Inderscience, and Sage Publisher. He has 60 research publications in his credit with journals in A*, A category of ABDC journal ranking, and high impact factor journals.’

He is a reviewer of 15 journals of various prestigious journals from the above publication house and included in the Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) of Management Decision-a 50 years old outlet by Emerald publishing House and Editorial Board of JBR. He was Guest editorial of a special issue on Behavioral Finance and Investor Psychology of QRFM- a journal of Emerald publishing. He is currently Co- Guest Editor of the Special Issue of the Journal of Business Research (JBR).
Dr. Kumar has also participated in various National, International conferences, workshops held at various places like NUS Singapore, IIM Indore, IIT Kharagpur, IIM Calcutta, and Great Lakes Chennai, etc. His research work has got google scholar citations of 1676 Dr. Kumar is actively guiding research to doctoral students in the area of finance. Five research scholars have already completed their degrees under him and 06 research scholars are currently working on the various areas of finance. He encourages students to be involved in Bibliometric analysis.
