Dr. S. Ramakrishna(Rama) Velamuri, is currently appointed as Dean, School of Management, Mahindra University. He is a seasoned academician with over three and a half decades of experience in holding key academic, administrative, and industry positions.
Since 2007, he has been associated with the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Shanghai. At CEIBS, Dr. Velamuri was the Chengwei Ventures Professor of Entrepreneurship and Chair of the Strategy & Entrepreneurship Department.Â
From 2003 to 2007, Prof. Velamuri worked with IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain, and was the Academic Director of IESE’s Global MBA Program. He has also been a Visiting Professor at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, UniBocconi, Indian School of Business, IIM Bangalore, etc. From 1985 to 1991, Dr. Velamuri held senior managerial positions with Grupo Tudor, Madrid.
Dr. Velamuri has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Madras and an MBA from IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Barcelona, Spain. His Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship, Business Ethics, and Strategy was awarded to him by the Darden Graduate School of Business, University of Virginia.

It’s been more than three decades (35+ years), let me take you through the memory lane, from your under-graduation to Ph.D., corporate career to academic career, now as Dean of School of Management, Mahindra University.
