Sachin Kumar Raut is a full-time doctoral research scholar in the area of marketing at Fortune Institute of International Business, New Delhi, India and Cotutelle Doctoral Scholar, in the area of International Marketing at University of Agder, Norway. THis program is known as FIIB FPM Exchange Program. After completion of Post Graduate degree in Management first he worked for corporates and after that, he shifted to a full time research job as a research associate.Â
During his research journey of around two years he worked on funded projects, publishing papers, presenting and winning awards for the research from international conferences. He has published papers with the Journal of Promotion Management (Scopus Q2 and ABDC B) and the International Journal of Organizational Analysis (Scopus Q2 and ABDC B).
In this video interview, Sachin discussed his journey at FIIB from MBA time till now. How FIIB has been supportive enough to allow him to avail campus library facilities, during GMAT preparation for FPM Admission process. He describes, how he got the chance to move to Norway for the second year of the FPM Program. He also discussed about how he got admission into the program and what all are the other methods to enroll in the program.
Document submission
He qualified Net-JRF, first in 2019 and then he qualified GMat and IELTS, in lieu of the later, he applied in FIIB FPM Exchange Program. On the basis of his JRF and GMat score, he got admission into FIIB and then after applying to universities in Norway. He got the chance to move to norway for the second year. He also submitted his 10th,12th and graduation grades.
Admission Interview for FIIB
He submitted his Research thesis from his MBA and presented the Research proposal to the panel. The Interview revolved on questions around, checking the mindset of the candidate, whether they have that research enthusiasm or can they make through the interview.
Then, he discussed about the process of applying to the foreign university, with the help of FIIB. He submitted his academic transcripts along with research proposal, thesis, and scores (GMAT and IELTS). He had discussion with his supervisors there and finally made through the program. Support from FIIB:
FIIB has been supportive enough that, FIIB even allowed to utilise the campus resources for 2 months for preparation of GMAT, even before taking the admission into the course. He pays gratitude to the FIIB family for being helpful from his post-graduation time. He expresses, how he want to comeback and serve FIIB as a guiding resource to the potential scholars.
Passing remark for the scholars
He suggests the potential scholars to be consistent and persistent with hard work. As a scholar, you need to ensure that, where you need to work, on which topic you want to work. Then work towards it enthusiastically.
