About Prof. Sajal Ghosh
He started his career in the Energy Division of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). His primary role was to provide research support to CII and to work closely with Central ministries and international organizations on policy-related issues. He spent six years in CII before shifting to MDI. His areas of interest are Energy Economics, Energy Modelling, Time Series Analysis and Cleaner Technologies. As in December 2019, he has published 43 articles in international journals of repute and his work has been cited widely by his peers. Sajal Ghosh has an h-index of 21 i-10 index of 26 and over 2600 citations in Google Scholar. In an article “Research productivity in management schools of India during 1968-2015: A directional benefit-of-doubt model analysis” published in OMEGA – The International Journal of Management Science, one of the topmost management journal, Sajal Ghosh ranked 4th in top 5% productive researchers in management domains for the period 2004-05 to 2014-15 and ranked 2nd among top 10 experts in Economics. He has been invited by national and international organizations/ Think Tanks to deliver lectures on issues pertaining to Energy Economics and Cleaner Technologies. He also reviews papers for international journals and writes occasionally in Economic Times and MINT.
