Dr. Ishitha Kumar is currently pursuing her 2nd PhD in finance from Goizueta Business School at Emory University. Prior to joining Emory, she was a senior research fellow at the Centre of Capital Markets and Risk Management at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. She also completed her PhD in aerospace engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM) and then received the undergraduate degrees in aerospace engineering and applied mathematics.
She has also written seven research papers and some patents, that too, in top aerospace engineering journals. At IITM, she became the recipient of the prestigious Institute Blues award. At Goizueta, her research broadly focuses on financial technology (FinTech) and its impact on the economy. Her research interests include household finance, labor economics, and developmental economics.”
