PhD at IIM Rohtak | Doctoral Program in Management (DPM/ Ph.D. in Management). It aims at excelling in interdisciplinary research globally and is deeply committed to foster fundamental, applied, and policy-oriented research. It is open to working with partners from academia, industry, and government in fulfilling its goal of excellence.

The DPM programme is in line with the vision of the institute to be a global leader in the creation and dissemination of knowledge in management and to be India’s future global learning center like the ancient Nalanda was.

Eligibility for PhD at IIM Rohtak

The candidates should have at least one of the following qualifications:

• Post-Graduate degree or equivalent in any discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA;
• Qualifications of CA, ICWA, or CS with at least 55% marks + 18 months experience.
• Professional qualifications such as MBBS, LLB, and similar qualifications with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA + 18 months experience.
• 4-years/ 8 Semesters Bachelor’s degree, with at least 6.5 CGPA or equivalent marks + 18 months experience.
• Five years Integrated Master’s Degree program in any discipline, with at least 55% marks

**Candidates possessing PGDM of IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or equivalent will be eligible for applying directly.

*** Non-Resident Indians, persons of Indian origin, and other foreign citizens should have a valid GMAT/GRE score of not older than five years from the closing date of application.

Candidates with 2 years of academic experience and master’s degree or candidates with M.Phil. or Candidates with Master’s Degree with a thesis in the relevant disciplines may directly appear for Research Aptitude Test (RAT) to be conducted by IIM Rohtak for shortlisting. 

Admission Process for PhD at IIM Rohtak:

Stage 1. Apply online

Stage 2: Shortlisting of the candidates based on their profiles and scores

Stage 3. Candidates will be invited for Evaluation/ Personal Interview at IIM Rohtak.

Financial Support for PhD at IIM Rohtak:

Candidates selected for the full-time Doctoral Programme are given financial support which covers their research requirements and modest living.

• Stipend

In addition to this, a merit Fellowship (subject to satisfactory performance) of Rs. 10,000 per month in the second year and Rs. 15,000 per month in the third and fourth years is given to the deserving participants.

• Contingency Grant

All the participants will receive a contingency grant of Rs. 1, 85,000/-distributed across four years of the programme.

• Conferences/Academic Exchange:

The participants will be provided potential financial support for attending national and international conferences as well as for academic exchange visits to partner institutions as per the institute norms.

Accommodation and Medical Facilities

IIM Rohtak’s DPM is a full-time programme, hence, the participants are required to stay on the campus. Medical facilities are also available within the campus.
